How To Power Your Hallmark Keepsake Ornament Without The Legacy Power Cord

If you have a 2009 or older Hallmark Keepsake Ornament and still want to use it on your new pre-lit tree or cannot attach it to newer light strings, here's a solution that I came up with. Hallmark made power cords for the older Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments that allow you to use them - but those Hallmark Legacy Power Cords were discontinued in 2014. The only way you can buy them now is on eBay at prices ranging from $75 to $250 - for a cord that originally sold for about $15. I wasn't going to pay that kind of price for a cord. What I did was go down to my local thrift store and buy a short string of the older incandescent lights - my light string cost me 50 cents. You may have an older light string out in a box in the garage that you can use. Then, you can plug your ornament into the light string and fun the string up into your tree to display it just like in the good old days.
