How to create a helical gear in creo parametric 3.0
Instructions:

1.Create a new part file and name it helical_gear.

2.Units should be mm

3.Insert known variables into parameters

4.Insert formulas into relations

5.Extrude a simple cylinder.

6.Create 3 circle sketches

7.Name them as base_dia, pitch_dia and outside_dia

8.Relate the above sketches to there respective relations which will be base_diameter, pitch_diameter and root_diameter.

9.Relate the extrude dia as root_dia and thickness as width which is predefined as a parameter

10.Create a CSYS at the center of the cylinder be sure to check that the z is pointing outside the cylinder and x and y are in positive direction

11.Create an in-volute curve using “curve form equations” and using the involute curve equation given in the document
