Münster is one of the most stunning Christmas Markets of Germany. Magical. There are several markets throughout this gorgeous city. The old architecture just adds that little something extra to the spirit of Christmas.

Town Hall Christmas Market
Located on the square behind the majestic town hall (Rathaus - from the 1300's on the street Prinzipalmarkt). This is the largest of the Munster Christmas Markets.

Lichtermarkt at Lamberti Church
Along the main road from the Town Hall is the Lamberti Church, with an xmas market with characteristic blue wooden houses.

Giebelhüüskesmarkt / überwasserkirche
A market set next to the medieval church. The huts are in that style, with excellent food and lots of hand made local products. This market is in the highlight section. The next video for Münster will have more of this wonderful christmas market.

Münster
Located in Lower Saxony (near The Netherlands) has a population of about 320,000 people. A city that has seen more than 1,200 years of history. Like Amsterdam, Bremen, Hannover, Deventer, Gdansk, Lübeck and Hamburg, Münster belonged to the Hanseatic League. It was the city where the famous Peace of Westphalia was signed.
