New Tu-160M2 Bomber: The World’s First Rear-Engaging Bomber!

Russia's upgraded Tu-160M2 "White Swan" bomber, now featuring an innovative rear-facing radar and rear-engagement air-to-air missiles, marks a first in strategic bombers worldwide. This new capability allows the Tu-160M2 to detect and neutralize threats from behind, enhancing its defensive and operational flexibility. Produced at the Kazan Aviation Plant, the Tu-160M2 also boasts advanced electronic warfare systems, new-generation radio equipment, and the capacity to launch hypersonic missiles like the Kh-101 and Kh-102, with a potential load of up to 32 missiles if all 50 planned units are deployed. This upgrade initiative highlights Russia's commitment to bolstering its long-range strike and deterrent capabilities in modern warfare.
