Nice weather but a highly interrupted day, didn't get a lot done.

Finished up the cripple rafters for the north wall between the dormer gable wall and the north wall including the overhang. Similar to the south wall, this was done by placement of a full rafter, marking the dormer wall stud and double-checking the slope of the cripple rafter before it was fastened.

Did the basic layout for one cheek wall - the other three should be basically identical, but I will field measure each tomorrow... well at least try dry fitting the three mains cords established today before cutting their own.

Then I can tie the walls all together with the top plates. Work out the valley rafters, place all the cripples to the valleys, place the ridge beam and do the rafters! I think the gable overhang will be simply hung from the ridge and plate extensions with some tack-on look-outs, the span isn't very long, neither is the overhang so it isn't very demanding structurally.
