Cukrownia Tuczno Lxd2 haulage, 2001

Описание к видео Cukrownia Tuczno Lxd2 haulage, 2001

Various shots of Lxd2 locos on the Tuczno sugar factory line on 8 November 2001:

1. Train of empty wagons arriving at Przybranowo. Shortly after this, while the loco was shunting across the level crossing, a car ran into the side of it.

2. (1:22) A brief view of the loading pad at Przybranowo.

3. (1:33) Loaded train headed towards Tuczno at Zelechin, west of Rojewo.

4. (1:56) The same train at Liszkow - I got a better shot here in 2002.

5. (4:02) Another loaded train between Osniszczewo and Zagajewice.

6. (5:00) A loaded train at (I think) Wierzbiczany, just east of Wierzchoslawice - this gives a good idea of the speed at which the Tuczno trains ran.

7. (7:09) Another fast-moving loaded train, I think this is at Rojewo.

8. (7:46) Loaded train at Niszczewice, between Liszkowo and Tuczno - this became a favourite spot.

9. (10:08) Loaded train leaving Przybranowo. In the background another loco beside the mountain of beet.

10. (10:49) Probably the same train, at Opoki. See how the train slows as the steep grade and tight double bend have their effect, and the engine note changes.

11. (12:56) Another loaded train at Opoki, taken from lower down the slope and almost darkness - I switched to infra red at the end of the clip.

We never found out just what time of day the Tuczno line stopped running, but I believe they carried around 100,000t of beet in a season of less than three months.
