An American Crime - poignant dream sequence

Описание к видео An American Crime - poignant dream sequence

This is my favorite scene in An American Crime, when Sylvia has dreamt that she has escaped her hellish nightmare and is back with her parents. She returns to the house to confront Gertrude, but instead sees herself lying dead on the floor. This movie is based on a true story that took place in the summer and fall of 1965 in Indianopolis. On October 26, 1965, after multiple beatings, burnings, and scalding baths, Sylvia died of a brain hemorrhage, shock and malnutrition. Gertrude Baniszewski went on trial and was convicted of first-degree murder. Her children and other young people in the neighborhood who took part in Sylvia's torture were convicted to a lesser degree.
