Celebrating a Year of Yuna at the Sanctuary 🧡

Rescued from war-torn Ukraine, she was shell-shocked and had never felt grass beneath her paws. In 12 months, Yuna has had so many firsts: her first meal, first steps on grass, first rainfall, first enrichment toy… and her first peaceful night’s sleep without fear. 🥹

With patience and care, she’s grown stronger, calmer, and more confident. In March 2025, Yuna moved into her forever home at the Lion Rescue Centre, joining Rori, Vanda, Amani and Lira, finally safe, loved, and happy. 🫶

Happy one-year anniversary, Yuna. Your journey reminds us why every rescue matters.🧡
