Personalization when it comes to digital marketing can be a bit of a buzzword.

It seems like everyone these days is telling you that if you're not doing personalization for your ecommerce store, you're missing out.

And personalization software will often make it seem like you should personalize *everything*, and that it's the magic pill.

Truth is - it's probably not.

There's tons of value in personalization (and for the record, we're currently running tons of personalization experiments for our clients) but like anything else, it's only valuable if it's done properly, measured properly, and done because there's an actual business case.
