Must-visit museum in TAMPERE!

Eight different exhibitions under one roof! Museum of Games, Ice Hockey Museum, Natural History Museum, Postal Museum, Finlayson Museum and many different changing exhibitions! Museum Center Vapriikki is definitely a place worth visiting on a trip to Tampere. The Vapriikki Museum Center has interesting exhibits for everyone's taste, the museum shop sells fun treats, and the cafe and lunch spot are good too!

Permanent exhibitions in Vapriikki Museum Center in Tampere include:

The Finnish Game Museum, where you can get to know a hundred Finnish games, most of which you can also play yourself. In the museum, you can play classic slot games in the arcade and play, for example, Commandore 64 or NES games in rooms staged according to the era.

The Finnish Ice Hockey Museum presents the top moments of Finnish ice hockey, and among the exhibits you can also search for historical records.

At the Tampere Museum of Natural History, you can get to know nature and animals with the help of different senses and observe current natural phenomena. The exhibition focuses especially on the nature of Pirkanmaa.

The ”Finlayson 200 factory-to-brand” exhibition follows the development of the factory born on Tammerkoski beach into the largest industrial company in the Nordic countries. There are a lot of artifacts on display, especially textiles.

Postal Museum offers visitors of all ages experiential and interesting things to see and experience.

In addition to these permanent exhibitions, Vapriikki has many interesting changing exhibitions and in this video, we visit the "Once Upon a Time, the Story of the Birth of Fairy Tales" exhibition, which is open until March 2024, and the "Fantastic flop" exhibition, which is open until January 2025.

Museum Center Vapriikki also has a museum shop, a cafe, and a restaurant.
