Sidenote: You get M14 (the 3-star rifle) as a reward for reaching Commander level 40 and 45 from missions She's really good.
DMesse posted on reddit: Though when event stages do kick in, normally you're not allowed to summon friend squads on there to help you and you are supposed to grow up & march to victory with your own squads. For forming squads, I highly recommend running a single 1 RF to tag along in a 2SMG 2AR 1RF squad. While that single RF won't be exchanging any formation tiles, the back-row priority targeting RF will do an excellent job of counter-sniping hostile snipers, the staple source of headaches throughout a player's career. This way you'll also save yourself the hassle of leveling a few RFs when you are later forming night ops squads. But 2SMG 3AR squads do work, of course, just make sure you're squeezing out as much synergy as possible.
sinnedforURs on reddit reminded me: You can turn off auto-resupply in settings while farming to save resources.
