Playing video games every day
Hey everybody , You might know me from my main channel, but this is my dedicated space for all things gaming. Qwoft is a name I came up with back in 2014 while building a website – it’s a unique identifier, especially since there are quite a few Michael Wards out there.
For me, video games are a lifelong passion. From the pixelated wonders of MS-DOS classics to the unforgettable experience of playing Pokémon Ruby on my Game Boy Advance, gaming has always been a constant in my life. It's how I unwind, get energized, and connect with familiar worlds and challenges.
Originally, my main YouTube channel was intended for gameplay videos. I even did some series like 100% completing the Pokémon Pokedex with all variations, and weekly nature observations in Red Dead Redemption II. However, with the ever-evolving landscape of copyright enforcement, I realized the risk of those videos being flagged or taken down was too high for my main channel. Plus, my wildlife content and gaming content attract different audiences, so a dedicated channel felt like the perfect solution.
This is where Qwoft Gaming comes in. It's a place for me to share my gaming adventures, revisit old favorites, and explore games I've always wanted to try. Primarily, I'll be focusing on older games that hold a special place in my heart or have been on my backlog for too long.
My main goal is to create a personal archive of my gaming journey. A digital time capsule I can look back on in the future, reminiscing about the experiences and memories created along the way. And of course, I want to share that journey with you!

*Weekly Upload Schedule: Why These Games?*
Sunday: Kingdom Hearts (2002) - Rediscovering the magic of this iconic series. This was the first game I ever finished completely, and I was utterly captivated. The gameplay was solid, and the lore, while complex, was incredibly engaging. I want to play through all the games, including the side and handheld titles I missed.
Monday: Morrowind (2002) - Diving deep into the sprawling world of Tamriel. This is a first-time experience for me. I've spent thousands of hours in Oblivion, Skyrim, and Elder Scrolls Online, but I missed Morrowind. I'm going in blind and documenting the entire journey.
Tuesday: Star Wars Jedi Knight Series - (Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II (1997) & Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast (2002)) Mastering the Force and lightsaber combat. Star Wars has always been a massive influence on my life. I vaguely remember playing some of these games, and I want to revisit them all, including Jedi Academy and the Knights of the Old Republic series.
Wednesday: Dark Cloud (2000) - Embarking on a classic action RPG adventure. I never finished this game as a kid, but I remember playing it with my family on our PS2. I want to finally complete the story.
Thursday: Starbound (2016) - Exploring the vast universe and building my own worlds. My sister recommended this game, and I loved the feel of it. The space exploration is fantastic, and the soundtrack is truly exceptional. I listen to it while recording wildlife.
Friday: Dungeon Siege (2002) - Hack-and-slash action through hordes of enemies. This is one of my all-time favorites. I plan to play through the first game and its expansion, and perhaps even explore the later entries in the series.
Saturday: Pokémon: Ash's Journey; Watchalong & Yellow Playthrough - Combining a watchalong of the original Pokémon anime (1997) with a playthrough of Pokémon Yellow (1998). Half of the video involves commentary as I watch the anime episode, and the other half is me attempting to recreate the show's events in the game. I've never watched the anime fully, and this is a unique way to experience it.

*About Me: What to Expect*
My name is Michael Ward, born in 1991, and I'm a wildlife filmmaker and photographer by day, and a passionate gamer by night (and whenever I have free time). I'm playing through games that hold significant meaning to me, either through nostalgia or as first-time experiences. I'm not aiming for speedruns or perfect playthroughs; I'm simply enjoying the games. I'm chill and relaxed, though I might get frustrated with challenging sections. Expect casual playthroughs and genuine reactions.

*My Gaming Journey:*
My early gaming memories involve playing on a shared family PC with Windows 95 and 98. I spent countless hours playing online games like Maplestory and Runescape. Our family PS2 was also a huge part of my youth. I eventually got an Xbox 360 and have primarily played on consoles since then.

*Additional Information:*
I play all PC games on a self-built, older gaming PC assembled from eBay parts. I plan to upgrade as needed for more modern games. The current GPU is a GTX 1060, which I intend to upgrade with another older GPU as needed.
