In this video I compare a 1956 Gibson Les Paul Special to a 1961 Gibson Les Paul Special (SG Body). Both these two amazing guitars have a ton of character and replicates many immortal tones.

I'm playing both through 1975 Dual Showman reverb through a 1960A+B (1971) Marshall full stack. It's close miked by a Unidyne 548 and an SM57 and there room mic is an AKG C414BXLII.

The Neck pickup of the 1956 Special is from 1980 and both pickups are wired out of phase a'la Peter Green.
