Winnipeg fire crews battle vacant building fire on Stella ave:

On Aug 16/24 at approximately 9:40 pm, Winnipeg fire paramedics service responded to reports of a fire in a vacant residence.

When crews arrived on scene they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the structure. Due to dangerous conditions inside, crews were unable to enter the structure. They launched a defensive attack from the exterior. The fire was declared under control at 11:47 pm.

The structure suffered significant water, smoke and fire damage. A demolition crew was brought in to demolish the structure. Crews previously fought fires at the building in may of 2024 and august of 2022,

The fire remains under investigation.
