This spring, we got to participate in a Pysanky egg decorating workshop and we caught the creation process in a time lapse!

This traditional Ukrainian egg dying process involves applying beeswax to the egg using a funnel on a stick, called a kistka, before dipping the egg in dye and repeating the process. When the design is finished, we melt the wax in a candle flame and wipe it away to reveal the beautiful colors underneath!
