Die große RhB-Gartenbahnanlage der LGB-Freunde Ith

Auf 1.100m² schlängeln sich die Fahrzeuge der Rhätischen Bahn (RhB) durch diese an einem Hang gelegene Gartenbahnanlage ständig an Höhe gewinnend ihrem Endbahnhof entgegen. Diese beeindruckende Anlage der Familie Timpert lädt einmal im Jahr zum LGB-Treff nach Eschershausen/Ith ein. Die mittlerweile 20. GaBa Süd Niedersachsen findet am 12. und 13. August 2023 statt, bei der wieder viele Besucher und Händler erwartet werden.
Viel Manpower ist notwendig, um die vielen Bahnhöfe mit Fahrdienstleitern auszustatten und einen möglichst reibungslosen Betrieb zu garantieren. Die Rhätische Bahn verfügt über einen umfangreichen Fuhrpark und diesen Fuhrpark kann man beinahe vollumfänglich im Maßstab 1:22,5 hier bestaunen. Viel Gewimmel im Bahnhof Chur. Ständig begegnet man auf der steigungsreichen Strecke einem neuen Zug. Die Fahrgäste im Glacier-Express genießen ihren Ausblick aus den Panoramawagen auf die grandiose Bergwelt.
Die Rhätische Bahn ist ja nicht nur bekannt für ihre bunten Werbelokomotiven. Auch der Güterverkehr nimmt hier noch eine herausragende Stellung ein. Man ist auch immer darauf bedacht kreative Produkte zu entwickeln. Der Hingucker sind beispielsweise auch die beiden Apres-Ski-Bar- oder der Bärenwagen. Wobei die Apres-Ski-Bar noch geschlossen sein muß, denn niemand ist darin zu sehen. Oder aber die Preise sind zu hoch? Das kann man sich aber bei der Schweizer Kundschaft nicht vorstellen.
Jedenfalls eine grandiose Gartenbahnanlage, die man gesehen haben muß!
