BILL EVANS (It's not easy being green) Jazz History #58

Описание к видео BILL EVANS (It's not easy being green) Jazz History #58

Despite a life beset by personal struggles and tragedy, Bill Evans created music that altered trajectories and set new standards, and which sounds as fresh and rich today as it did in the mid-20th century. Sharply intellectual, virtuosic and introspective, with his head bowed close to the keyboard, Bill Evans embodied the music that flowed from his fingers. Jazz would not be the same without his magnificent contributions to the idiom.

ABOUT THIS SERIES
The Jazz History series is a video adaptation of a PowerPoint presentation used to teach a university course in jazz history. You’ll find a lot more videos like this one in the JAZZ HISTORY playlist on this channel.
