👉I'm using fingering weight yarn to crochet this granny square since it gives me the perfect size I needed for this granny square. However, you could use any weight of yarn you wish to work with. The result will still be amazing! specially for a crochet afghan, I would choose Worsted or Aran weight yarn as it results in a bigger granny square; hence, the crochet blanket would work up faster.
