External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar spoke about the progress of the US-India trade agreement during his visit to the United States.

He said the trade negotiations are mainly handled by Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, while the Prime Minister and the US President have already held discussions and made some announcements.

Jaishankar added that detailed trade talks are now underway, but the exact timeline is difficult to predict, as it depends on discussions between India and the US Trade Representative.
