Apollo 15: Rovers reach the Moon

Описание к видео Apollo 15: Rovers reach the Moon

Apollo 15 was the most ambitious and most advanced Apollo mission to date. For the first time, the crew brought a lunar rover - a vehicle that dramatically expanded the range of their field expeditions. The landing site was also geologically spectacular, hemmed in by the mighty Apennine Mountains and the Hadley Rille.

Relive the mission in this short-film compilation of archival NASA footage and radio communications - including the landing on the Hadley Plain, the "rockin'-rolling ride" of the lunar rover, and the discovery of the most famous Moon rock of all: the Genesis Rock.
