Machine Learning and Agriculture: Precision Ag, Remote Sensing, and the Soil Microbiome

Описание к видео Machine Learning and Agriculture: Precision Ag, Remote Sensing, and the Soil Microbiome

Presented on Agriculture, Forestry, and Other Land Use Day (April 28) at the virtual workshop “Tackling Climate Change with Machine Learning,” held as part of the International Conference on Learning Representations (ICLR) 2020. More info at: https://www.climatechange.ai/ICLR2020...

Session description: Agricultural practices are a major contributor to climate change. Large amounts of energy are consumed by chemical synthesis, irrigation, and farm machinery, while greenhouse gas emissions also arise from the decomposition of fertilizer and organic matter in soil. Join us for short talks on how machine learning can advance agricultural sustainability via precision agriculture, remote sensing, and the soil microbiome.

Speakers:
Steve Prager (International Center for Tropical Agriculture)
Diane Wu (Trace Genomics)
Subit Chakrabarti (Indigo Ag)
Zerina Kapetanovic (Microsoft FarmBeats)
