EDF Earth Defense Force 5 M 110 The Nameless - Slaughter EZ - Ranger Inferno

After trying assault rifles and the Fang, I settled with the Slaughter. But more important than the weapon might be your movement. The second group of Cosmonauts marks the difficulty spike in this mission. They have 2 laser Aliens, 3 with rifles and 1 with a shotgun, making them the hardest of the three Alien groups to fight. Luckily, elite Fencers and Wing Divers will spawn shortly after those Aliens at the elevated railway close to the map's border and move to your starting point. My strategy was to go for the corner in the right back of the starting position. When Pepsiman summons the 2nd group of Aliens (remember how he moves his arms for the summoning at 8:25), I ran away, trying to get some cover from houses. Use the Reverse Shooter to stay alive till the NPCs appear and hopefully distract the Aliens. If the mission goes on long enough, a 3rd NPC group (Rangers) will appear.
Pepsiman is invincible at the start till the end of his first attack, during summoning, transformations and certain dialog. Phases cannot be skipped, only his 3rd form can be killed. But if you are quick, it is possible to take him down before he summons the last Aliens.
