A new patch just dropped, and with it came a LOT of balancing changes. The one that struck me the most was the Archer rework.

Starting from level 3, Archer gives a 15% damage buff to other cliff towers that are close to it (signified by an inner range circle similar to Hunter's inner range circle). This stacks up to 3 times. At level 5, the damage buff increases to 25%. The tradeoff is that the level 5 upgrade now costs 3000 cash, and Archer only does 18 damage when maxed as opposed to 21 (+5 damage instead of +8 damage).

This will help new players in a very meaningful way, as it now gives them a pretty decent support option and something to do instead of holding the entire team back when they join an insane mode game. Of course, someone on the team has to be running Toxicator/Cryolator...

Aside from the Archer rework, Blaster is now cheaper and doesn't burn your ears anymore, and Bandit (the ground starter tower) got additional damage tacked onto its level 4 upgrade (also good for new players).
