Diarrhoea outbreak kills 13 in U.P. - Uttar Pradesh News

Mathura (Uttar Pradesh), May 23 (ANI): In a suspected diarrhoea outbreak, at least 13 people have lost their lives due to diarrhoea in two villages of Mathura over a week, on Monday. The deaths were reported from Mat and Surir villages and the deceased include children between the age group of 1 to 14 years. Over 150 are undergoing treatment for diarrhoea in the hospitals. An investigation by the local administration found that the drinking water supply was contaminated in several places. The investigation also revealed that the children had taken ill because of consuming contaminated ice cream and sugarcane juice.
