The heart powers the double circulation of Blood through the body since Blood is needed to sustain life, this forms the Circulatory System.

There are two main systems involved in it: The systemic and the pulmonary systems.

The focus of this Physiology lecture will be Pulmonary Circulation. It moves Blood between the heart and the lungs. It transports deoxygenated Blood to the lungs to absorb oxygen and release carbon dioxide.

The oxygenated Blood then flows back to the heart. It works in tandem with the Respiratory System.
