This is the place where from you get a boat ride to Tannirbhavi Beach at a nominal fare of Rs. 7.00 one way. The boat service closes at 7 PM. Sultan Battery is small round Fort said to be built by Tipu Sultan.

On reaching Mangalore, one can travel from airport to the beach directly. The distance from Mangalore international airport and Tannirbhavi Beach is approximately 14 kilometers. And so is the distance between Mangalore central railway station to Tannirbhavi Beach. Tannirbhavi beach route is clean and easy to access. It is well connected by road, and easily reachable by one’s own vehicle or by a hired one. Tannirbhavi Beach can be reached by land near the Kuloor Bridge.
