You are all probably really sick of us posting BBQ video after BBQ video with this old cheap smoker. I promise we have other videos of other projects coming up. I may have spent the last month hyperfixated on how to get this cheap Marketplace smoker to preform better. I took some ideas from a couple of the greats like Aaron Franklin and tried to incorporate them into my plans. So armed with a pencil and an angle grinder I set forth on performing my BBQ science experiement. I was at it for almost a whole week, ordering parts, cutting and hacking at metal. Eventually the ideas in my head started to take shape. Before I knew it I was staring at something that looked a little more like something I would see out of a Mary Shelley novel than something I would use to cook with. You will have to watch the whole video to see if all my hacking and cutting was all for nothing. But I think that just maybe, I may have created something special. Hopefully it doesn't all melt down the first time I try and start a fire in it..
