VRA Tokenomics Update | Future Utility

Last week, Verasity updated it’s tokenomics and we are here to present those changes.

Tokenomics is a catch-all for the elements that make a particular cryptocurrency valuable and interesting to investors. That includes everything from a token's supply and how it's issued to things like what utility it has.

Tokenomics is an important concept to consider when making an investment decision because ultimately a project that has smart and well-designed incentives to buy and hold tokens for the long haul is more likely to outlast and do better than a project that hasn't built an ecosystem around its token. A well-built platform often translates into higher demand over time as new investors flock to the project, which, in turn, boosts prices.

Verasity ($VRA) tokenomics, as the company says it, has not fundamentally changed. What has changed is the way in which we position this information and make it clear and transparent to their community.

$VRA maximum and total supply includes PoV marker tokens that are used within ad stack and do not contribute to circulating supply (i.e. they are not traded in the market).

Total supply, which is reflected on third-party information sites, includes all $VRA issued minus tokens that have been burned, while the max supply refers to all coins that will ever come into existence.

$Vra will be used for minting and issuing NFTs, for marketplace purchases, and for paying network fees.

Lastly Verasity has plans to explore the roll-out of a payments network for $VRA.
