Dragon Ball is one of the most popular anime series of all time and it’s not hard to see why. The show not only has some of the greatest fight scenes ever animated but it also has a rich lore that spans decades. The history of Dragon Ball includes ancient demons, galactic space battles, post apocalyptic wastelands and more than a few tournaments. The history is usually revealed to us as it is to characters like Goku. While that works well for the story, it can provide some confusion about Dragon Ball’s timeline.

The show usually focuses more on the conflicts of the present than it does on the conflicts of the far past. This can leave us with a lot of questions about Dragon Ball’s ancient history.
