Plot: By its eleventh expansion pack, the MMORPG Elder Tale has become a global success, with a user base of millions of players. However, during the release of its twelfth expansion pack: Novasphere Pioneers, thirty thousand Japanese gamers who are logged on at the time of the update suddenly find themselves transported into the virtual game world and donning their in-game avatars. In the midst of the event, a socially awkward gamer named Shiroe, along with his friends, Naotsugu and Akatsuki, decide to team up so that they may face this world, which unfortunately has now become their reality, along with the challenges and obstacles ahead of them.

Argumento: Tras la undécima expansión del MMORPG Elder Tale, este se convierte en un éxito mundial, con una base de usuarios de millones de jugadores. Sin embargo, durante el lanzamiento de la duodécima expansión llamada Novasphere Pioneers, 30.000 jugadores japoneses que estaban iniciando sesión en el momento de la actualización, de repente se encuentran transportados en el mundo del juego virtual con la apariencia de sus avatares del juego. En medio de ese evento, un jugador llamado Shiroe, junto con sus amigos, Naotsugu y Akatsuki, deciden formar un equipo para poder hacerle frente a los retos y obstáculos de este nuevo mundo, que desafortunadamente se ha convertido en su realidad.
