Probe Demanded In 4 Sahara Group Cooperative Societies

The government has called for a probe into 4 cooperative societies floated by the Sahara group, reported The Indian Express. The societies under the scanner have deposits worth Rs 86, 673 crore from about 4 crore depositors. The government red-flagged the deposits citing irregularities that have put depositors’ “hard-earned” money under “serious” risk. The 4 cooperative societies are Sahara Credit Cooperative Society Ltd, Humara India Credit Cooperative Society Ltd, Saharayn Universal Multipurpose Society Ltd and Stars Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd
