The Cedar Falls Historical Society is bringing history alive at its Ice Harvest Festival on Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Big Woods Lake on the north shore. The event honors the ice-harvesting industry in Cedar Falls.

See ice-harvesting and ice-carving demonstrations by Amish families at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Everyone is welcome to come out and enjoy STEM activities and outdoor fun, photo ops, ice fishing and blacksmith presentations, and more. This is a FREE event with food and beverages available for purchase. *Back up date: February 8, 2025.
