Marcellina Wanjiru Thimba Munyuthe was born on June 1, 1934, to Justa Wandia Thimba and Antonio Thimba (Njeru) in Gathuri, near the Consolata Mission.
She was baptized in 1936 at Mwenji. As the third-born child, Marcellina was raised alongside her siblings: Agatha Wairimu Musyoki, Matthew Kimani Kironji,
Simon Gathenya, Constant Wangui, Annaciata Wambui, Raphael Kirumwa, Justine Muiruri, and William Kanyita.

On Friday, November 22, 2024, she received the Anointing of the Sick from Father Nicholas. The following day, November 23, 2024, Marcellina passed away
peacefully at Loresho at 6:00 p.m.
