We are discussing on the matters of bail Broadly speaking there are three categories of bail and they are- i] bail in bailable offences, ii] bail in non bailable offences, iii] anticipatory bail, BAIL IN BAILABLE OFFENCES, Section 436 of the Code of Criminal Procedure deals with provisions of bail in bailable offences.
The court and/or the police can require a person to act as surety for the defendant before granting bail. A surety is where another person who is prepared to promise to pay the court a certain sum of money should the defendant breach any of his bail conditions, such as failing to attend court
No amount has to be paid, you will have to keep ready a particularly identifiable property or fixed deposits in the banks whose valuation will be equivalent to the bond money or investments in shares or Bonds, whose documents you may have to deposit in the Court or find a surety who can, in the eyes of the court pay the money fixed by the court as bond money which varies form case to case, the surety may be a salaried person, who agrees to pay the money in installment form his salary as deductions.
An anticipatory bail can cost you around Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 30,000, depending on the seriousness of your case and the skills and experience of your lawyer.
Generally, the purchase price of the bond is about 10% of the value. Therefore, if your bail is set at $5000, you can expect to pay about $500 in order to purchase a bail bond. You should avoid purchasing a bail bond, whenever possible
