Corn Intercropping: Forage Soybeans

Описание к видео Corn Intercropping: Forage Soybeans

One of the main reasons corn intercropping has been unsuccessful in Western Canada is limited herbicide options. This forces farms to seed intercrops post herbicide application - limiting growth potential (sunlight & water). Forage soybeans are glyphosate tolerant to minimize these herbicide & management headaches.

Listen to Joseph Gardiner talk about the advantages this intercropping practice can bring to your farm:
Regulate the soil temperature (protect the soil from hot summer temperatures)
Provide high protein biomass for grazing after silage or corn harvest
Provide residual nitrogen for next year’s crop
Balance the C:N ratio of the soil (improved water infiltration & water holding capacity)
