Western Ghats is in western coastal region of India peninsula. it starts from the south of Tapti river on the border of Gujarat and Maharashtra . and Ending point in kanyakumari in the South. it covers six main state Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamilnadu. Average elevation approx 1200m, Total length from North to South 1600 km, width from East to West 100km, and Total Area 1,60,000 km square. Western Ghats gives 40% of Drainage System in India. Rivers like Godaveri, Krishna, Kaveri and Tungabhadra. famous hills like anamudi, dodabetta, mullayangiri, kudremukh, kodagu and sinhagad.
