Bentiu camp in South Sudan is home to over 120,000 internally displaced persons who fled violence since civil war broke out in the country in 2013.

It is among the 7 protection of civilians sites that the United Nations has set up in South Sudan and over time Bentiu has grown to be the largest .

The refugees in the camp usually receive psychosocial support as the experience of violence, displacement and confinement across the sites has contributed to community-wide emotional distress.
