Kings and Generals animated historical documentary series on the history of Greece and the Ottoman Empire continues with a video on the Maniots - Spartans, Pirates and Rebels. The Maniots, often called the pirate-warlords of Greece, were among the most feared and independent peoples of the Mediterranean. Living in the rugged and isolated Mani Peninsula of the southern Peloponnese, they forged a unique culture of defiance, honor, and resilience.
