"Unicorns Do Exist" EPISODE 01: 2024 Atherton Bikes AM.170x Dream Build (4k)

🙂 Hello, Friend! After more than a decade of mountain biking, I decided it was time to create my dream bike—something unique, rare, and custom-made. That’s why I chose Atherton Bikes! I selected the 2024 AM.170x 🦄 as the foundation for my build. This 5-part film documents the entire assembly process in my garage, without any professional mechanic or outside help—just the tools I’ve collected and the skills I’ve honed over the years.

📝 NOTES
After familiarizing myself with Final Cut Pro 🎥 during my first upload, I knew it was time to document my dream bike build—a 2024 Atherton Bikes AM.170x, which is quite a rarity, and something few will see on the trails. Due to the Southern California summer heat ☀️ (afternoon temperatures would regularly surpass 105º F inside the garage), I could only film for a few hours after work, from around 6:30pm to 8:00pm (if the garage had cooled down enough!). What began in late June took three months of filming before I could start editing the footage.

The editing process involved timing the clips to background music, reviewing, reediting, making corrections, and doing that over and over because I kept seeing little things to change. Eventually, I set a deadline to publish, and that’s when everything started to come together. I hope you enjoy the final product.
