During a recent rewatch of Superman: The Movie, I was reminded of one of Young Justice’s memorable super rescue sequences. When I compared the two, I realized just how deliberate and overt an homage Young Justice had made to Superman’s bridge rescue scene. It made me wonder what it would be like to see those scenes intercut. Here’s the result!

If you haven’t watched Young Justice, I highly recommend it! In addition to its great storytelling, the series packs in plenty of Easter Eggs and references like this that show the team’s love for DC comics lore and history.

Superman: The Movie really laid the foundation for all superhero film and television adaptations that followed it. As seen here, it continues to be an influence on modern works and remains an enjoyable viewing experience.
