In a shocking daylight murder that has shaken Punjab’s border town of Abohar, prominent businessman Sanjay Verma, owner of the popular WearWell showroom, was shot dead outside his store by three unidentified assailants.

CCTV footage shows the assailants opening fire just as Verma stepped out of his car. Around 8–10 rounds were fired, with four bullets piercing the windshield. Though his staff rushed him to the hospital, Verma succumbed to his injuries.

The attackers fled on a motorcycle, which was later found abandoned near a government hospital. Several suspects are now in police custody for questioning.
