Return to 1616: Former island pastoral operation being returned to its natural state | ABC Australia

One of the most remote pastoral operations in Western Australia ceased operations a decade ago, and is now being returned to its natural state.

But it's not part of the enormous land mass of WA - it's the state's biggest island that had a very famous visitor around 400 years ago.

Landline's Sean Murphy went to Dirk Hartog Island to check out one of the most ambitious conservation projects ever undertaken in Australia.
