This HowTo video shows how to use the Mapp component MpOeeCore in B&R mapp View. OEE stands for Overall Equipment Effectiveness. Different shifts including scheduled downtime can be configured in the Mapp component.

By using the function block MpOeeCore the OEE is calculated using the given data. Information about the quality, performance (speed) and availability are also given by the function block. This data can exported to a .csv file or displayed on an HMI.

Automation Studio is the integrated software development environment from B&R that contains tools for all phases of a project. The controller, drive, communication, and visualization can all be configured in one environment.

This video will explain how to use the Mapp component MpOEE.
Drag MpOeeCore from the toolbox in the mappServices package.
In the MpOeeCore file different shifts can be configured.
Here the Morning and Afternoon shifts are configured.
The start and end time of a shift are entered in milliseconds.
The morning shift starts at 06:00 (6:00AM). 21600000 = 6 hours
It is also possible to enter scheduled downtime, for example a lunchbreak.
A program is already added for the OEE handling.
Next add variables of the types MpOeeCore and MpOeeCoreParType.
MpOeeCore is a function block that calculates the OEE,
MpOeeCoreParType is used to configure an ideal cycle time.
The pieces variables are not necessary.
In the init file the MpOeeCore FB will be initialized.
First the MpLink pointer is assigned.
The address used is the MpLink name of the Mapp component.
Now the enable bit will be set to true.
Next is the devicename.
Make sure a device is configured in the physical view.
In this example the device HD has the path C:\OEE.
Now the pointer for the parameters input is assigned.
The variable with the MpOeeCoreParType is used here.
The function block is called in the cyclic file.
In this example, the variables MyPieces and RejectedPieces are also assigned to the fb.
Now the program can be rebuild and transferred to the PLC.
Once this is done, the mapp component can be used.
Information can be found inside this block, for example which shift is currently active.
When products are being made the function block automatically calculates the OEE.
It is also possible to export the previous shifts data to a .csv file.
The files will be exported to the devicename that was configured earlier.
Shift statistics can be found here.
In this example there was only 1 previous shift, the morning shift.
