[TAS] DBZ Budokai 3 - Gogeta vs Gotenks on Z3, No Damage, in 5 seconds

Описание к видео [TAS] DBZ Budokai 3 - Gogeta vs Gotenks on Z3, No Damage, in 5 seconds

Fight starts at 1:42, I left previous and afterwards cutscenes.

My goal here was simple: beating Gotenks in the fastest time possible, while avoiding that teleport spam common on Z3.
Solution was easy: Hyper Mode. While in Dragon Rush, in fact, CPU can't escape; same goes for Ultimate moves.
So I prompted the CPU to use an heavy attack as soon as the match begins and did the same to start a struggle: you can't teleport from struggle damage, but you CAN pursuit after it.
After Dragon Rush damage, an Ultimate could deal enough damage to win the match. So I baited the CPU to teleport behind me to save time and counter hit it, then used the Ultimate in the right frame to land it instead of starting the teleport war.
That's it! A lot of thinking and planning for such a short video, yes.

**F.A.Q.**

"How did you get this fight?"
Goku'DU, second time, talk to Kibitoshin (second red mark) before fighting Buu.

"This isn't Z3 difficulty, cheater!"
It is. I left the results screen to witness it. The Base Exp. I got it's the amount you get after a main fight on Z3 (on DBZB3 Collector's Edition, tho). On lower difficulties would have been less.

"The results screen it's fake, liar!"
It isn't. Every stat matches with the match you saw: timing, damage dealt, combo, ect...

"The video lasts LONGER than 5 seconds!"
No sh*t, Sherlock! It's always about the in-game time we're talking about.

"Match lasted more than 5 seconds!"
It didn't. As you can see be the results screen and statistics, the game timer only counted past 5 seconds. This happens because, during certain scripted actions (like Supers, transformations, grabs, Hyper Mode start, struggles&clashes, Dragon Rush, Ultimate, ect...) in-game timer stops.
So, yes, for the game that lasted only 5 seconds.

"It's TAS so it's cheated, a computer did this for you."
No, you uncultured swine. TAS means Tool Assisted*, which means *I did this video, helped by TASing tools. And by any means, TAS only allows you to do what you can normally do in game, it doesn't give you like infinite Ki or something.
Those are cheat codes inserted in game's RAM, through some program like Cheat Engine, TAS only edits the inputs you give to the game.

I hope that's enough, I already I will read anyway stupid comments, but at least I can copypaste answers. For anything else, ask away.
And ask nicely, ffs.
