About the artists
TRUMPETS IN CONCERT celebrated its 25th anniversary on stage last year. Founded by Leonhard Leeb, the classical band has earned a high international reputation through outstanding concerts at international festivals such as the Bregenz Festival, the Carinthian Summer, the “Proms at St. Jude's” in London, a tour of Canada and a cultural guest appearance in China (including the Deyang Music Festival at the Deyang Concert Hall).
In 2024, they opened the Carinthian Summer International Festival in the presence of Federal President Dr. Alexander Van der Bellen. Another career highlight was the invitation from Austrian President Heinz Fischer, who asked them to provide musical accompaniment to his inauguration in 2004 and 2010. International classical music labels such as NAXOS and ARS Production became aware of them, and the BBC Online magazine in London dedicated an article to them. Their music regularly reaches the iTunes® charts, such as the album “Requiem For My Friend” in November 2023 at number 1 in Austria and “Imperial Fanfares” (NAXOS) in April 2024 at number 25 in Vietnam and number 98 in Indonesia. Their works also appear in soundtracks of international films such as “Glam Girls” with Anne Hathaway. The three trumpeters, trained at music universities, have made their mark on Viennese concert life with breathtaking performances and captivating concert evenings.
