Bamboo Weaving - Learning the traditional Lao way of weaving with bamboo | Life in Laos

In September 2022 my Mama Marlis came to visit me in Laos and together we traveled through the country for a month.

During a short trip to Nong Khiaw in the north of Laos, we joined a workshop at the Ban Lue Handicrafts Center (in Ban Nambak) to learn how to weave with bamboo. During this half day workshop we learned to make bamboo baskets and bamboo tea strainer in the traditional Laotian way.
