Doctor shortage in Wawa & the need for locum support

Описание к видео Doctor shortage in Wawa & the need for locum support

Wawa is a small town in northern Ontario dealing with a doctor shortage. It is meant to have seven doctors, but now there are only two. Hear from Drs. Anjali Oberai and Mike Cotterill in their own words, talk about the challenges of practicing in a rural, underserviced area and what immediate solutions are needed to improve health care.

Since the release of this video, one more permanent rural generalist physician was hired at Lady Dunn Health Centre bringing the roster up to three.
