Hidden Defrost A/C Modification 2001-2005 Honda Civic

How to turn off A/C when Defrost is selected 2001 - 2005 Honda Civic Si #6. How to improve Performance and increase Fuel economy with this hidden feature. DIY Tools required: none. Time: 2 minutes. Defrost A/C Control Modification:
1) turn off ignition
2) vent to Top only
3) temperature to max heat
4) fan speed to medium
5) hold recirculate & A/C buttons
6) ignition to ON position
7) release buttons after blinking

Defrost RESET to Factory Setting
1) turn off ignition
2) vent to Defrost only
3) temperature to max heat
4) fan speed to medium
5) hold recirculate & A/C buttons
6) ignition to ON position
7) release buttons after blinking

Demonstrated on 2005 Honda Civic Si.
