Monster Hunter Frontier Z: Taikun Zamuza - (The best) Hammer & Dual Blades

(This game can turn out to be quite the meme sometimes, I swear)

Looks like the glory of innovation for normal monsters seems to reside in the isolated tropical shores. Above was a gorilla marrying Spiderman's bow flex and stealing his future, and deep in the caves lies of what could be best described as the absolute BEST CARAPACEON MONSTER ever made in the entire franchise! I'll even go much more further down on that aspect by saying that THIS. FUCKING. CRAB. COVERED IN ROCKS. singlehandedly defeats all 22 elder dragons in Monster Hunter Frontier. Should I go on to explain why I actually chose to follow along a bold move like that? Because I am dead serious about this. I... genuinely can not believe even myself that I am willfully standing on the impossible mountain by saying a normal monster OF ALL THINGS compared to literally any elder dragon in Frontier to ultimately surpass all of their combined credentials, can somehow manage to decimate ALL OF WHAT THEY'RE CAPABLE OF just for simply existing... I repeat for extra emphasis, Taikun Zamuza is built on so much detail just like Gogomoa, that it's concept as a crab IN A CRAB covered in rocks permeates even the likes of Guanzorumu and Shantien's entire background like it didn't even need to try.

Just.... HOW??? How do you even DO THAT?

Is there something about Frontier monsters being so incredibly unique that their individual concepts act like they're participating in a competition of some sort to represent their truest potential? Because personally I'd have to say with pure confidence that Taikun Zamuza would reach pretty damn far on the leaderboards based on it's kickass yet epically BIZARRE secret weapon to allow it to hit the global records list. I might be heavily bias towards that impulsive notion, but this fucking crustaceon literally mutating into something completely different makes it borderline impossible for me to grasp based on how it's concept is steadily progressed; included with the idea of practically making it's extremely well hidden electric form it's own kind of reward tactic by itself.

Since it's exclusively found in low and high rank quests, (I have no idea WHY he's not in G Rank at all) Getting to Taikun Zamuza's final phase is not an easy task in the slightest to fulfill. Considering that it can actually die in either phase by complete random even before you manage to remove the rock shell and break every part of it's body. But the process of breaking it apart piece by piece all the while is so damn satisfying and fun to experience every time. Knowing that the outcome could potentially result in revealing the true awakening the moment you least expect it. That in and of itself is pure entertainment pasted together in the greatest ways possible. I also love how incredibly atmospheric the fight starts off once the dust clouds settle in to make the scene more deep and cryptic during the first phase. The music in either rank also does a fantastic job on providing more depth to the setting as well. Plus the devastating cutscene transitions just adds the thrill factor even higher.

I'll admit that he can be kind of annoying in his second phase since he hardly ever holds still and becomes more increasingly hostile, but the rest of Taikun Zamuza truly feels like a prophecy to fulfill every time I fought it. It's like a treasure chest in a way the more that I look into it. Dig out the box, grab the key, and claim your prize. Nice.

Though it's a shame I never fought it's Zenith species. I'm still glad with what I got, regardless

Best crab ever
