In this lecture, we explore the world of Dante's Divine Comedy, specifically Dante's relationship with Virgil, Statius, and Beatrice. This lecture was originally part of the 2.5 hour video The World of Dante's Divine Comedy. This lecture contains the second chapter of that talk, focusing on understanding the relationships Dante has with Virgil in The Inferno, Statius in Purgatorio, and Beatrice in Paradiso. It is now a singular and standalone lecture for the sake of brevity and study.
